After Sanctions Failed Ten Times | The US & NATO Turn to the International Criminal Court, ICC

The US and NATO have used several international tools to bring down The Russian Federation, President Putin and cause regime change in Russia. So far all have failed. There were ten rounds of sanctions. There were failed price caps on Russian oil. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was summoned when Russian Ally Forces gained control over the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). It found no shelling of the plant by the Russian military as claimed by Kiev. The United Nations, its General Assembly, Human Rights Council and Security Council have been used to go after and turn the world against Russia. Amnesty International was attacked by pro-Ukraine voices for its 2022 report condemning the Ukrainian military for surrounding themselves with civilians. That hurt the Ukraine good, Russia bad narrative. Using civilians as shields is against international law. The ICC did not respond in kind to the Amnesty International report. Now the International Criminal Court (ICC) has been tasked to bring down The Russian Federal and its leader, President Putin. It has issued warrants for the arrest of President Putin and Russia’s commissioner for children’s rights, Maria Lvova-Belova. The ICC has lost credibility in it being fair and just as it targets Africans. In doing the US's bidding, all of these international organizations have lost credibility due to their selective hypocritical partial biased attempts at justice.

Russia has responded to the ICC warrant issued for the arrest of President Putin. Criminal cases have been opened against ICC prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan, as well as judges Tomoko Akane, Rosario Salvatore Aitala and Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez. Russia cites the 1973 UN Protection of Diplomats Convention which grants heads of state absolute immunity from the jurisdiction of foreign countries. The International Criminal Court is in violation of that 1973 United Nations Convention Treaty. 

South Africa is a member of the ICC. This August South Africa will hold the 15th BRICS Summit. As a member of the International Criminal Court, it is legally obligated to take President Putin into custody should he attend the BRICS Summit. The US and NATO have tried and failed to break the increased cooperation African nations have with Russia and China. South Africa has a strong relationship with both Russia and China. It is the "S" in BRICS.  The US, NATO, and former colonizing countries have failed in their hubris attempt to win the hearts and minds of African nations. The International Criminal Court has targeted another African country. It has put South Africa in a quandary as it remains neutral. 

Meanwhile there are children at the US and Mexico border that were taken from their parents and never reunited. Parents do not know what happened to their children. Some made it as far as New York City and were seen being transported in the dark of night. Fighting to the last Ukrainian is a genocide which is a crime against humanity. Madeleine Albright found the killing of children in Iraq during the US invasion acceptable. She seemed to think 500 million killed was acceptable and worth it. Nothing from the International Criminal Court. 

During WWII, Jewish children in Germany were taken from their parents. They were placed with non Jewish families to hide them from German authorities. They were referred to as the "Hidden Children." This practice kept many Jewish children from being sent to the concentration camps. They were removed from a warzone. The children in the Donbass have been recipients of crimes against humanity for the past eight plus years from the government in Kiev, its military and groups like the Azov Battalion. This was done with weapons and military training supplied by the United States. That shelling, injuring and killing of children in the Donbass by the same people continues on a daily basis. This time with weapons and military training are supplied by the US and NATO countries. It is also a war crime against children. The Kiev government and its military have moved civilians from areas where there has been fighting in Donbass. These civilians are Russian and Russian speaking and do not wish to move west towards Kiev. They have voted overwhelmingly to join the Russian Federation. Yet Russia is being criminally charged by the International Criminal Court with moving Russian and Russian speaking refugees from the battlefield areas of the Donbass. The ICC will lose even more credibility for issuing these warrants for arrest once the truth surfaces. 

In 2016, Russia withdrew its support for the International Criminal Court after the court released a report accusing Russia of war crimes. Russia withdrew its signature from the statute of the ICC, a day after the court published a report classifying the Russian annexation of Crimea as an occupation. Russia stated that Crimea voluntarily joined Russia after a referendum vote. The citizens of the Donbass and Crimea are mainly Russian and Russian speaking They were not consulted after the breakup of the Soviet Union as to whether they wanted to be part of The Russian Federation or Ukraine. The votes in 2014 and 2022 showed they preferred being part of The Russian Federation. Moscow signed the Statute of Rome in 2000 but never ratified it. Russian officials stated that the ICC was not truly independent, failed to live up to hopes of the international community and denounced its work as one-sided and inefficient.
